FAQs

Why invest in physical precious metals?

It is an insurance policy against money printing by world central banks and deficit spending by world governments.

Why hasn't gold moved in the past few years?

The Federal reserve "printed" money for over a decade. This money was used to create a massive everything bubble. It created mania conditions in the stock market and risk assets. Gold in particular is a risk off asset - so it has been unloved because people invested in tech stocks, NFTs, meme stocks, and gambled with options instead.

But here is a great stat for you - from 2001 to 2011, gold went from $250 an ounce to $1900 an ounce.

If you were invested in gold miners at that time, you would have made 17 times your money.

The next decade will be extremely bullish for precious metals and commodities

What is your investment style?

Long term, contrarian investor. I look for opportunity that is undervalued. I don't day trade. Love buying when others hate it. I implement risk management to ensure that if I'm wrong on a few companies, will have limited the loss to just a small percentage of the portfolio.

Where to purchase physical precious metals?

I have a relationship with BullionStar and I highly recommend them.

Where to store physical precious metals?

You can only travel with $10,000 worth of currency/metals - so it makes sense to store your physical precious metals in a safe location.

That can be in your possession or stored within a non bank depository outside of the US jurisdiction

(I don't recommend keeping your precious metals within the same jurisdiction that you live).

I recommend using BullionStar

They are in Singapore - which is one of the best jurisdictions in the world for storing precious metals.

What is your favorite precious metal/mineral?

My favorite precious metal is platinum - it is rarer than gold and is used to create hydrogen (which is going to be used in the future as an emission free fuel)

My favorite base metal is copper - the electricification of the world has increased the demand for copper to astronomical levels

My favorite energy mineral is uranium - the push for zero emission energy will increase the demand for nuclear power

Why invest in mining and exploration companies?

What is your favorite chart?

What will happen to the US dollar?

The Federal Reserve will destroy the value of the US dollar until it is completely worthless. The BRIC nations are actively working on never using the US dollar again to trade with one another.  This is bullish for precious metals.

What about other asset classes?

Real estate has been in a super bubble for the past decade. When real estate drops in price, I will be interested in multifamily and other types of commercial real estate.

Here is a recent interview I did with Mathew Owens that explains in detail why I love natural resources investing
